The Borough of Madison will be joining cities throughout the state in celebrating NJ Local Government Week April 7-13.
Because local government is the government closest to most citizens, and the one with the most direct daily impact upon its residents, it is important that residents understand how their local government operates, those that serve on local government, the services it provides, and the importance of their active involvement.
NJ Local Government Week, sponsored by the NJ State League of Municipalities, is a weeklong celebration that raises awareness about the importance of municipal government and its daily impact on residents.
Events which are planned to take place during the week are:
Students in grades 5-8 that are interested in participating, should fill out the below registration.
Grades 5 & 6 will participate on Tuesday, April 9th from 5:00 - 6:00 P.M.
Grades 7 & 8 will participate on Thursday, April 11th from 5:00 - 6:00 P.M.
