Open Positions:

Internship for environmental students - 20+ Acre Wetland & Forest Restoration

The Madison Environmental Commission seeks two students to assist with removal of invasive species, planting of native species, and building habitat for small mammals, birds, insects, and amphibians.  There is also room to develop creative artistic displays using natural materials found onsite, photojournalism, and GIS mapping. The project covers 20-acres of which 5-acres are NJDEP regulated wetlands and the surrounding 15-acre forest.  Position hours are 8am-12noon Monday – Friday with a Thursday afternoon session at The Madison Farmers Market 1pm-4pm. Salary is $12.00 per hour.

Summer Nature Program, Nature Nuts, Program Counselor:



The Borough of Madison is accepting applications for Program Counselor - Summer Nature Program.  This is a 5 week program, Monday thru Thursday-9am until 2pm, from late June thru late July for children who completed 1st grade thru 6th grade. Children will be divided into three groups by age.  Program focuses on nature-oriented arts & crafts and environmental awareness. Some knowledge of environmental science a plus.  Duties include but are not limited to: daily program prep and clean-up, assisting camp participants, and facilitating camp activities. Director, Summer Nature Program:

School Crossing Guard

The Borough of Madison is now accepting applications for the position of School Crossing Guard. The position is a part-time position (approximately 10 hours/week) with a salary range of $17.05-$19.05 per hour. No benefits.
