About the Event
On Saturday, May 7, 2016, the Downtown Development Commission (DDC) will sponsor our annual “May Day in Madison”, a town wide beautification day where volunteers help clean, mulch and improve Madison’s parks, business districts and other public places. This event fosters pride, volunteerism, community spirit and promotes the need for shared responsibility in beautifying and maintaining our town.
Get involved by emailing Lisa Ellis at firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 201-400-2349.
The contest is over for this year! Thank you to all the young artists who participated. The winner will be announced shortly!

Message from the Committee Chairs
We’re proud to be celebrating our 19th consecutive year! Although volunteers help us with town wide improvement projects, individuals, businesses and organizations are needed to pledge their support as well. Would you be willing to volunteer or donate? The event is completely funded by private donations.
Any individual, group, or business pledging $250 or more will be recognized as an official event sponsor and will have their name printed on the back of over 900 T-shirts which will be distributed to all pre-registered volunteers. The deadline for T-shirt sponsors is March 18.
May Day is responsible for funding 207 of the hanging flower baskets on the lamp posts in town. This year, anyone donating over $100 will be recognized as a “Flower Basket Donor” and will receive an official certificate of appreciation.
You are welcome to be part of our team and your help, both as a volunteer on May 7, 2016 and as a financial sponsor of this event, is appreciated.
