We’d like to thank you for your patience during the recent infrastructure improvements. So often, we accept these basic services without thought, never considering the cost and effort necessary in establishing and maintaining reliable electrical, sewer and water handling utilities. Unfortunately, the people near the intersection of Green Village Road and Kings Road, as well as those near downtown Main Street experienced first hand how involved it is to maintain and improve these services.
We understand how inconvenient the road and sewer work on Kings Road has been, and we thank you for accepting this to ensure the future stability of the utility systems.
We also acknowledge that the 2 hour planned outage to allow critical work to be performed on the underground utility infrastructure downtown during Tuesday’s early morning hours was a significant inconvenience, but these improvements will enhance the resiliency of the electric system for years to come.
Thank you again for your part in improving Madison’s basic infrastructure, and in keeping Madison a wonderful place to live.
