As a psychologist, I create a climate in which people feel comfortable in revealing and exploring themselves. I enjoy treating people of all ages from teenagers through the elderly, both individuals and families. The people I work with come to me with a wide range of concerns, including stress, depression and anxiety, and career, relationship and family problems. My original training was psychoanalytically oriented. While I retain some of that perspective, I incorporate many other techniques and ways of thinking about therapy into my work. I am committed to keeping up with developments in my field though continuing education.

I have a particular interest in adolescents, and enjoy working with both them and their parents. I speak to school and community groups about parenting teens, and also run workshops on this topic.

I believe that successful therapy results in greater self-knowledge and self-acceptance, and positive behavior change.
