NOTICE, that the Regular Meeting of the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Madison, County of Morris and State of New Jersey, scheduled for May 12, 2014 is rescheduled from 7:00 p.m. to begin at 6:00 p.m. and immediately adjourn to Executive Session. The Regular Meeting will reconvene at the usual time of 8:00 p.m. in the 2nd Floor Council Chamber. FURTHER NOTICE, that Executive Session discussions will include, but not be limited to two (2) contract matters, three (3) personnel matters, and two (2) litigation matters. What: Blood screening and blood pressure checks for all adults at the Madison Health Department. Includes the CMP (comprehensive metabolic profile blood analysis), blood pressure checks, information on cholesterol and diet, fitness and preventing osteoporosis. The CMP analysis includes total cholesterol, HDL and LDL cholesterol, CBC and other blood components. Sign ups: Appointments are necessary and may be made by calling 973-593-3079 ext.1 beginning on May 15. Participants should have their physician’s name, address and telephone number ready when they call. Fees: There is a $25.00 fee for the blood work, payable within the registration period Where: Madison Health Department, Madison Civic Center, 28 Walnut Street When: Saturday, June 7, 2014 starting at 8 a.m.
The next regularly scheduled Blood Drive at Madison Lodge will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2014 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Donors should be 17+ years of age (16 with parental permission), and in good health. Please eat a meal prior to donating, and don't forget your donor card or ID. As usual, New Jersey is faced with a critical shortage in blood supply, so please make a donation if possible. And as always, thank you for your past and future donations
Dr. Allison Adams, DMD of Madison Will join the Madison Health Department to perform a 5 minute, painless oral exam on Wednesday, May 7, 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. Any necessary follow up will be provided free of charge. In observance of Good Friday, the borough offices will be closed on Friday, April 18, 2014. This closure will have no impact upon emergency services.
This weekend the Library will be open Saturday, April 19, 10 am - 5 pm. The Library will be closed Good Friday and Easter Sunday.

Pfizer 5K Run with Pride On Wednesday May 21, 2014 Pfizer will host a USATF sanctioned 5K run to benefit Project Community Pride at Giralda Farms.
