ADDENDUM #1
BOROUGH OF MADISON, MORRIS COUNTY, NEW JERSEY

2007 ELECTRIC DEPARTMENT MATERIALS
BID OPENING DATE FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 9, 2007, 10:00 AM

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed bids for the 2007 ELECTRIC DEPARTMENT MATERIALS will include an acknowledgement of this ADDENDUM #1 by the Borough of Madison, County of Morris, State of New Jersey. The ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF CHANGE form included in the bid documents on page 27 must be completed. Addendum #1 consists of an addition/clarification in the bid specifications as stated below:

The following specification is to be added after Page 29 DETAILED SPECIFICATIONS but before the list of items for which we are requesting prices:

DETAILED SPECIFICATIONS FOR
ELECTRIC DEPARTMENT MATERIALS

The following pages are listings of materials for which you will be bidding. Any further detailed specifications for specific items are immediately following those items. We are only requesting bids on those items which have a number in the "Requesting" column.

All unit and item prices must be indicated on the following pages. The "Total" column equals the "Requesting" column times the "Price per unit" or "Price per item" column. If there is a discrepancy between the "Total" column listed and the quantity requested times the unit or item price, the total represented by the "Requesting" column times the "Price per unit" or "Price per item" column will prevail.

Complete the "Proposed Mfg" column if the item you propose to supply is different from the Manufacturer listed in the "Mfg" column. Leaving the "Proposed Mfg" box blank indicates that the item being supplied is manufactured by the Manufacturer listed in the "Mfg" column. If the "Mfg" column is blank, bidder should complete "Proposed Mfg" box with the manufacturer they are proposing to use for that item.

It is possible that there will be contracts for this bid awarded to more than one vendor. Bids will be awarded to vendors based upon individual item total prices. The vendor with the lowest total cost per item will be awarded that item.

Example (prices are for descriptive purposes only): Vendor A bids total $20 on item 2 Line and total $40 on item 268 Light. Vendor B bids total $35 on item 2 Line and total $39.50 on item 268 Light. Vendor A will be awarded the contract for item 2 Line; Vendor B will be awarded the contract for item 268 Light.
