NOTICE TO BIDDERS
BOROUGH OF MADISON, MORRIS COUNTY, NEW JERSEY
2009 JANITORIAL SERVICES – POLICE DEPARTMENT
BID OPENING DATE – TUESDAY, MARCH 10, 2009, 10:00 AM
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed bids for 2009 JANITORIAL SERVICES – POLICE DEPARTMENT will include an acknowledgement of this ADDENDUM #1 by the Borough of Madison, County of Morris, State of New Jersey. The ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF CHANGE form included in the bid documents on page 28 must be completed. Addendum #1 consists of a clarification in the bid specifications as stated below:
Page 31 – the Intent paragraph will be changed to reflect that the contract will run from approximately April 1, 2009 through July 31, 2009 only. The Borough reserves the right to extend the contract on a month-by-month basis after that.
Page 7 – Bid Proposal Form – change "lump sum price" to "monthly price". The Vendor must bid a monthly cost to perform the services, not an annual cost. Page 36, remove the words "For reference purposes only," in the last paragraph. The rest of the paragraph remains the same.
In the detailed specifications:
Page 35, under DAILY (Monday through Friday), add
- Clean common area bathrooms
- Empty shredders
- Empty recycling containers
Page 36, under WEEKLY, add
- Vacuum common areas
- Clean cells (possibly more than weekly depending upon number of arrests)
Under BI-WEEKLY, update
- Sweep basement to read "Sweep basement and computer room located in basement"
Under MONTHLY, add
- Clean/sweep evidence room and armory rooms under supervision of Police Personnel
Additionally, the Police Department will handle refilling of the hand sanitizers.
This project was not bid previously as the building was just occupied middle of last year. Services from mid-May 2008 through 12/31/08 cost $8448.00.
