TRAFFIC IMPACT for Prospect St (Kings to Main)

TRAFFIC IMPACT NOTICE on Prospect Street (from Kings Rd to Main St), daytime, weather conditions permitting. Borough of Madison contractor Tilcon indicates the road milling project will begin on or about Thursday October 2, 2014 with completion of paving scheduled by Tuesday October 7, 2014. Commercial businesses should plan on minimizing all morning delivery vehicles on Prospect Street on paving day Monday October 6, 2014 due to lane closures. Resurfacing of these roads is being done in conjunction with the State resurfacing of Main Street (Rt124) anticipated to impact traffic night time beginning next week. The Borough Superintendent can be reached at 973-593-3086 during regular business hours for additional information. Division Ave, Union Hill Rd and Woodland Rd

Division Ave, Union Hill Rd and Woodland Rd will be affected by milling and paving operations, daytime, weather conditions permitting. Borough of Madison contractor Tilcon indicates the road milling project will begin on or about Thursday October 2, 2014 with completion of paving scheduled by Tuesday October 7, 2014. Lane closures may be expected during this period. Resurfacing of these roads is being completed according to the approved municipal capital budget. Madison Ave (Rte124) Construction

CONSTRUCTION NOTICE on STATE HWY 124 Madison Ave for the week of September 22, 2014 NJDOT has been completing various road improvements along Madison Avenue over the summer months. The State and its contractor DellaPello anticipate side street milling and paving work will commence this week starting wednesday night. The State anticipates milling and repaving work for the main highway section in Madison starting the week of October 5 (night work lasting up to one week). The NJDOT Field Superintendent can be reached during regular business hours for additional information. The Municipal Engineer in Borough Hall can also provide information as it becomes available. Sidewalk Partial Reimbursement Program

Per Municipal Code 166-34, A residential property owner may apply to the Borough for partial reimbursement of the cost of replacement of an existing sidewalk or construction of a new sidewalk on land abutting a public street. The reimbursement shall be $15 per square yard. The reimbursement shall apply to sidewalk installation only and shall not apply to ancillary work such as landscaping, lawn sprinklers and electronic dog fences. The property owner shall submit to the Borough Engineer all bills associated with the project as well as evidence of payment to the contractor.

North Street 2014 Road Improvements

Notice for residents on North Street in Madison. Cifelli & Son Construction, the General Contractor retained by the Borough of Madison to complete the resurfacing of nine local roads, intends to begin curb and drainage improvements this week, weather conditions permitting. Work will be phased to minimize access limitations for the public. Your cooperation is requested during the time of construction to remove/relocate the automobiles you intend to use by approximately 7:30 a.m. on curbing days when the contractor is active within 200 feet of your home. This will minimize interruption of construction work and allow the contractor to finish as soon as possible. Temporary Parking on a minor local street within 1000 feet of your home/business may be anticipated with the cooperation of the Police Department. Emergency “NO PARKING” will be enforced by the Police Department during construction if vehicles impede progress. Specific scheduling problems may be directed to the office of the Borough Engineer. The Police Department can be contacted for traffic information and assistance. The inconvenience is temporary but the improvements remain for years. THANK YOU FOR YOUR COOPERATION ! East Street Parking Lot

East Street Parking Lot is being reconstructed under a municipal contract awarded to Stanziale Construction and in cooperation with the Kirby Children's Center. Temporary No Parking will be enforced for two weeks or until the new parking lot has been completed and opened to traffic. Thank you for your anticipated cooperation during this construction work.

Notice for residents on Academy, Vinton, Wilson and Belmont streets in Madison. Cifelli & Son Construction, the General Contractor retained by the Borough of Madison to complete the resurfacing of nine local roads, intends to begin milling operations this week (two days) and paving operations initiated Friday and completed the following Monday (two days), weather conditions permitting. Work will be phased to minimize access limitations for the public. Property access during milling will not be compromised for more than one hour at individual locations. Access during final paving operations is restricted for half a day in the direct vicinity of work. Your cooperation is requested during the time of construction to remove/relocate the automobiles you intend to use by approximately 7:30 a.m. on final paving days when the contractor is active in your vicinity. This will minimize interruption of construction work and allow the contractor to finish as soon as possible. Temporary Parking on a minor local street within 1000 feet of your home/business may be anticipated with the cooperation of the Police Department. The State has announced a repaving contract for this section of road (August night work lasting up to one week) with limited storm drain, curb and sidewalk improvements (daytime this month).
