Madison Memorial Day
On May 30, 2011 please join the Madison Patriotic Celebrations Committee for the Madison Memorial Day parade and remembrance ceremony, to honor the selfless sacrifice of the men and women who died for us while serving in our nation’s wars.
Pre-parade memorial ceremonies at the WWII, Korea and Vietnam memorials in James Park (on Madison Ave.) will begin at 9:00 AM. Pre-parade memorial ceremonies at the WWI memorial in Condurso Park (at the intersection of Main Street and Park Ave.) will follow at 9:15 AM.
The parade will step off from Condurso Park at 9:30 AM and follow Main Street to Prospect Street, Prospect Street to Kings Road, ending at Borough Hall (Hartley Dodge Memorial). After the conclusion of the parade, a solemn remembrance ceremony (lasting 45-50 minutes) will begin at approximately 10:15 AM.
For parade participants driving to the parade, parking will be available in the Madison Volunteer Ambulance Corps parking lot (on the corner of Prospect Street and Kings Road).
