The Madison Police Department is comprised of a team of highly trained professionals committed to providing excellence in service.  We are dedicated to improving the quality of life by preserving the peace and safety of our community.  We are firmly committed to the value of human life, possessing the courage to do what is right, exhibiting fairness, compassion and approachability in the performance of our duties, and striving for continuous improvement.

As such, each member of the Madison Police Department is committed to adherence to the philosophy of legendary football coach Lou Holtz: the principle of P.R.I.D.E.
