Madison Volunteer Ambulance Corps
Our squad is always looking to add new members. As with many local ambulances squads, we are experiencing a shortage of members available to ride during work week hours. Our town is very fortunate that Madison is able to support volunteer medical services and that we do not need to resort to a costly private ambulance company.
If you’ve been looking for a way to volunteer, consider joining us. You will find that in addition to serving your community, our members derive a high level of satisfaction and achievement. Join our hands that make lifesaving a reality!
- Must be at least 17 years of age
- Must have a valid Driver's License
- Must be able to ride a minimum of 36 hours a month
- Attain CPR certification within 6 months of joining
- Attain EMT-B or First Responder certification within 1 year of joining
As a member, there are no costs to you. This means that the squad will pay for your uniforms and all your education, including certification classes, refreshers, and continuing educational credits.
You can download a membership application in PDF format here, or in Word format here. When completed, please mail, email or drop off your finished application at our building, locatd on Prospect Street. We look forward to you joining us!
All of our members are NJ State Certified EMT-Basics or First Responders. We are currently licensed to operate through the New Jersey State First Aid Council and the New Jersey Department of Health & Senior Services.
