MADISON, NJ — The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey is seeking volunteers to assist with ushering, concessions, and the Theatre’s gift shop for the Theatre’s 50th Anniversary Season which begins May 30th. The Shakespeare Theatre will hold a Volunteer Open House on Thursday, April 26 at 6 p.m. at the F.M. Kirby Shakespeare Theatre, 36 Madison Avenue, in Madison. Community members interested in volunteering are invited to attend this open house to find out more about The Shakespeare Theatre and volunteer opportunities; meet the professional management staff; mingle with veteran volunteers; and to learn about the 2012 Season from Artistic Director Bonnie J. On Wednesday, July 7th from 10 AM - 2 PM, the Museum will be offering Summer Camp for a Day: Lenape Toys & Games. Tour the exhibit Lenape: Tools & Daily Living and learn about how the Lenape people lived, worked and played. Campers will have the opportunity to play with a number of Lenape games and toys, and make some of their own to take home. The Museum will host eight unique one day summer camps for children ages 4-12. This camp is a full day of activities without the long term commitment. Campers will learn about different aspects of history and participate in a variety of hands-on craft projects based on the Museum’s exhibits. Campers ages 4-6 are required to have an adult present. Space is limited. Advance registration required. Members: $25 for any 1 session & $65 for any 3 sessions. Non-Members: $30 for any 1 session & $80 for any 3.
