Municipal Lots – All lots are head in parking only. All Permit vehicles must display a parking permit by hanging it on the vehicle's rearview mirror.
Commuters should not park at Stop n’ Shop, YMCA, Madison Public Library or Walgreens, as they are all private lots and subject to being ticketed/towed.

Parking Permit Types

Borough Parking Lots
Cook Avenue Lot
- Two-hour spaces. Parking is limited to two hours in all spaces not otherwise designated for permit parking.
- Parking for Merchant/Employee Permit Vehicles is available Monday through Saturday, between 7:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. in designated spots.
- Parking for Residential Tenant Permit Vehicles is available Monday through Saturday, between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. and all day Sunday in designated spots.
Elmer Street Lot
- Two-hour spaces. Parking is limited to two hours in all spaces not otherwise designated for permit parking.
- Parking for Merchant/Employee Permit Vehicles is available Monday through Saturday, between 7:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. in designated spots.
- Parking for Residential Tenant Permit Vehicles is available Monday through Saturday, between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. and all day Sunday in designated spots.
Green Avenue Lot
- Parking for Merchant/Employee Permit Vehicles is available Monday through Saturday, between 7:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m.
- Parking for Residential Tenant Permit Vehicles is available Monday through Saturday, between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. and all day Sunday.
Kings Road Lot (formerly Lot#3)
- Commuter Resident Permit Vehicles Monday through Friday, from 4:30 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. Monday through Friday.
- Parking for Merchant/Employee Permit Vehicles is available Monday through Saturday, between 9:30 a.m. and 2:00 a.m.
- Parking for Residential Tenant Permit Vehicles is available Monday through Saturday, between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. and all day Sunday.
- Paid Daily Parking Spaces. Monday through Friday, any vehicle may be parked in a space designated as a Paid Daily Parking Space. The owner of the vehicle must remit the required fee, $7, as specified by Borough Council resolution and posted at the payment kiosk and/or on the mobile application.
- Monday through Friday after 4:00 p.m. and all day Saturday and Sunday the lot may be used by the general public free of charge.
- Beginning on Monday, January 20:
- Daily parking before 9:30 A.M. is permitted in spaced painted with a Boxcar logo.
- All unnumbered/unmarked spots are for permit parking only.
- Payments may be made through the Boxcar app - The cash box will no longer be available.
- Daily parkers may park in any open permit spots AFTER 9:30 A.M. and pay through the Boxcar app.

Maple Avenue Lot
- Parking is reserved for vehicles owned by the Borough of Madison or owned by an officer, employee or person in the service of the Borough.
- Twenty marked spaces are designated for Commuter Resident Permit Vehicles Monday through Friday, from 4:30 a.m. to 12:00 a.m.
- Parking for Residential Tenant Permit Vehicles is available Monday through Saturday, between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. and all day Sunday.
- Monday through Friday after 4:00 p.m. and all day Saturday and Sunday the lot may be used by the general public.
Prospect Street Lot (formerly Lot #1)
- Commuter Resident Permit Vehicles Monday through Friday, from 4:30 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. Monday through Friday.
- Parking for Merchant/Employee Permit Vehicles is available Monday through Saturday, between 9:30 a.m. and 2:00 a.m.
- Parking for Residential Tenant Permit Vehicles is available Monday through Saturday, between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. and all day Sunday.
- Monday through Friday after 4:00 p.m. and all day Saturday and Sunday the lot may be used by the general public.
Train Station Crescent Lot
- Paid parking only, $7 per day. Payments collected via Boxcar App
- Open and Free to the public on Sundays only.
Waverly Green Lot.
- Parking hours and limitations designated as follows:
- Public parking is limited to two hours in spaces not specifically designated for Borough vehicles only, except that no public parking is permitted between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. on Monday through Saturday.
