The Madison Housing Authority (MHA) is providing an opportunity to receive public comments on their proposed Moving to Work (MTW) Supplement, impact analysis and hardship policies for the Housing Choice Voucher Program. An in-person public hearing will be held at 4:30 PM, Monday, October 16, 2023 in the Community Room of the Rexford S. Tucker Apartments, 15 Chateau Thierry Avenue, Madison, NJ 07940, which is handicapped accessible. Please see the links below for the MTW Public Hearing Notice and additional information.
The Madison Housing Authority is applying to the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development’s Moving to Work (MTW) Demonstration Program Asset Building Cohort. MTW provides housing authorities with relief from the “one-size-fits-all” approach to HUD affordable housing. MTW agencies enjoy regulatory flexibility, streamlined practices and the ability to create policies that respond to the local need. If selected by HUD to be an MTW agency, the Madison Housing Authority will work with residents and the community to identify innovative policies to support our mission of providing quality, inclusive, affordable homes to low- and moderate-income individuals and families, creating opportunities to build stable, healthy lives and to become a vital part of the Madison community.
