Borough administrators and the Madison Water Department are asking all Madison residents and businesses to observe voluntary water use restrictions during the summer months.
Outdoor use for lawn and shrub watering, car washing, driveway, and sidewalk washing is restricted to alternate days, borough officials advised. Residents and businesses with even-numbered addresses may use water outdoors on even-numbered dates, while residents and businesses with odd-numbered addressed are restricted to using water outdoors on odd-numbered dates.
Restriction Times
The use of water outdoors is permitted from 12:01 A.M. to 8:00
A.M. and then from 8:00 P.M. to 12:00
A.M. midnight on the designated days. Borough officials noted there should be no outdoor water use between 8:00
A.M. and 8:00 P.M. on any day.
